Too often, we see processes and procedures within our organizations that are put together by well intentioned individuals, however, they often lack the elements and rigor necessary to delivery high quality results.  My goal is to help organizations develop tailored solutions to engaging their core teams in developing capital budgets and planning processes that focus on delivering on the strategic objectives of the organization. 

 

My career began in the financial services industry, working in various leadership roles in consumer lending and higher education finance for nearly ten years.  Over the past decade I have worked in various finance and planning roles within health care, most recently overseeing the capital portfolio and budgeting function for a six hospital academic health system in Vermont and Northern New York.

I saw the need in the industry to provide services and training to help organizations build a standardized capital budgeting process and centralized capital allocation framework, providing the necessary components to link strategy with planning and implementation of capital investments.  Long range capital planning should dovetail with master facility plans and the strategic objectives of the organization.  Without a strong capital investment framework and process, this goal can be harder to reach.

I have experience leading large, decentralized teams through a multi stage capital process with business planning activities on the back end to produce high functioning, highly efficient investment processes.
